Job summary

Dovetail & Slate Ltd is seeking an experienced Curriculum Manager to lead the Health and Social Care curriculum area at a further education provider in the West Midlands.

You will manage teaching staff, oversee curriculum delivery and quality, monitor learner progress and retention, and work with senior leaders to drive improvements across the area.

This role suits an established FE leader looking to take ownership of a curriculum area and develop a high-performing team.

Are you an experienced further education curriculum leader with a background in health and social care?

About the Role

As Curriculum Manager, you'll take responsibility for the leadership and performance of the health and social care curriculum area at a further education provider in the West Midlands, making sure teaching, learning and learner outcomes are of a consistently high standard.

You'll lead and support a team of teaching staff, oversee curriculum planning and delivery, and work closely with senior leaders to drive improvement across the area.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading and managing health and social care teaching staff.
• Overseeing curriculum delivery, planning and quality.
• Monitoring learner attendance, progress, achievement and retention.
• Supporting staff performance and development.
• Maintaining high standards of teaching, learning and assessment.
• Contributing to curriculum improvement planning and the day-to-day running of the area.

What We're Looking For

• Previous curriculum management or leadership experience within further education
• A professional background in health and social care
• Experience managing programmes and teaching teams
• Strong understanding of further education curriculum delivery and quality
• Excellent leadership, organisational and communication skills

Desirable (but not essential):

• Experience of early years curriculum areas
• A teaching qualification
