Job summary

Brunel University of London, located at the Uxbridge Campus, is seeking a Health Sciences Technician to join the Technical Services team. This permanent, part-time role (28 hours) supports delivery of high-quality teaching, practical activities and maintenance of facilities and equipment in health sciences.

The post holder will work across clinical skills rooms, simulated wards and immersive learning spaces, ensuring safety, compliance and effective operation while collaborating with academics

Qualifications

• To have experience of providing technical support.
• To be familiar with the wide range of equipment used within a medical education setting.
• Experience of supporting practical teaching in a relevant discipline (e.g. health, life or medical sciences).
• To be a confident communicator who can effectively discuss technical matters with colleagues and staff/students with different levels of knowledge.
• To demonstrate a commitment to continued professional development.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support across health sciences facilities including clinical skills rooms, simulated wards, and an immersive learning space.
• Ensure facilities, equipment and resources are safe, compliant, effective and maintained to the highest standards.
• Support teaching, practical activities and the effective operation of relevant facilities and equipment.
• Collaborate with academic and professional services colleagues to support teaching and student experience.
