Job summary

W Talent is partnering with a growing organisation to recruit a Health, Safety & Transport Compliance Supervisor to join its operations team in Leeds. This hands-on role covers Health & Safety and HGV transport compliance, taking ownership of key processes, supporting operations and maintaining safety and regulatory standards.

You will work with the Head of Operations and Transport Manager to ensure that safety procedures, risk assessments, Operator Licence requirements and driver/vehicle

Qualifications

• Experience in Health & Safety, transport compliance or logistics compliance.
• Good understanding of HGV Operator Licence requirements.
• Experience maintaining driver and vehicle compliance records.
• Knowledge of risk assessments, workplace safety procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor Health & Safety policies and procedures.
• Conduct, review and maintain risk assessments and documentation.
• Maintain Health & Safety records and ensure legislative compliance.
• Manage HGV Operator Licence compliance, including driver/vehicle records.
• Monitor driver licence checks, vehicle inspections and servicing records.
• Track compliance deadlines and ensure timely checks and reviews.
• Identify risks, investigate issues and support corrective actions.
• Produce compliance reports for senior management.
• Collaborate with operational teams to promote safety culture and continuous improvement.
