Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. is seeking an experienced Health & Safety Manager to champion SHEQ standards at our site in Desford, supporting Hinkley Point C. The role leads safety initiatives, partners with leaders and clients, and drives a proactive safety culture.

The position is full-time, permanent, Monday–Friday, 37.5 hours, with hours between 06:00 and 18:00. NEBOSH Diploma is essential and significant SHEQ experience across logistics environments is required.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH Diploma essential for the role.
• Proven experience leading SHEQ across multiple sites.
• Strong incident investigation and risk management capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the contract's Health & Safety strategy and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Coach operational leaders and stakeholders to improve safety culture.
• Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Analyse SHEQ data to identify risks and drive improvement across sites.
• Develop and review safety management systems and SSOW training.
