Job summary

Qualifications

• NEBOSH Diploma qualified (essential) with extensive Health & Safety management experience.
• Proven experience leading SHEQ activities across multiple operational sites within logistics, warehousing, transport, construction, or industrial environments.
• Strong leadership and influencing skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
• Excellent incident investigation, root cause analysis, and risk management expertise.
• Strong analytical and reporting capabilities with experience interpreting and presenting SHEQ performance data.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver the contract's Health & Safety strategy, ensuring compliance with client, company, and regulatory requirements.
• Provide expert guidance and coaching to operational leaders, supporting continuous improvement in safety performance and culture.
• Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action planning to prevent recurrence and strengthen controls.
• Analyse SHEQ data and trends to identify risks, opportunities, and improvement initiatives across multiple sites.
• Develop, implement, and review safety management systems, Safe Systems of Work (SSOW), training programmes, and annual SHEQ plans.

We're looking for an experienced Health & Safety Manager to champion Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (SHEQ) standards at our site in Desford. Reporting to the General Manager and Sector H&S Lead, you will lead the contract's Health & Safety agenda, partnering with operational leaders, client stakeholders, and specialist teams to create a proactive, safety-first culture.
