Health & Safety Manager
We have an opportunity for an experienced Health & Safety Manager to join a growing manufacturing business near Thetford. You will be a key member of the Senior Management Team, responsible for reviewing, developing, and improving Health, Safety, and Environmental systems across the organization.
You will promote a positive Health & Safety culture, support the board on EHS matters, and provide guidance to staff on environmental, health, and safety issues. Your responsibilities include developing policies, procedures, and training to ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements. You will oversee risk assessments, investigate workplace incidents, and analyze safety data to implement improvements.
Additionally, you will monitor emission limits with local authorities, manage relationships with water, sewage, and environment agencies, and oversee subcontractor compliance. Managing site first-aiders and fire marshalls to ensure they are trained and compliant is also part of your role.
You must hold a Nebosh General Certificate and a Nebosh Diploma (or be working towards it). Experience in a manufacturing environment is essential. You should be a strong communicator capable of engaging with all levels of staff and leading training sessions.
