Job summary

Shirley Parsons Ltd in North London is recruiting an experienced Health & Safety Manager to lead safety on a flagship construction project and contribute to a broader portfolio across London.

You will drive a proactive safety culture, perform site inspections, support investigations, and advise operations on RAMS and compliance with UK legislation. A visible safety leader with NEBOSH and strong stakeholder management is essential.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH Certificate (or equivalent) is required.
• Experience as Health & Safety Manager in construction is essential.
• Strong knowledge of UK health & safety legislation and best practices.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proven ability to influence positive behavioural change on site.

Responsibilities

Main Contractor | North London | £65,000 - £75,000 + Package

Shirley Parsons is partnering with a leading main contractor to recruit an experienced Health & Safety Manager to support the delivery of a major project in North London, while also contributing to a wider portfolio of projects across London.

The Role

As Health & Safety Manager, you will take the lead on all health and safety matters for a flagship project in North London, working closely with operational teams, subcontractors, and senior stakeholders to drive a positive safety culture and ensure compliance across site activities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and promote a proactive health & safety culture across project teams
• Conduct site inspections, audits, and safety reviews

Requirements

• Previous experience working as a Health & Safety Manager within the construction industry
• Construction and/or Civil Engineering experience is essential
• Strong knowledge of UK health & safety legislation and industry best practice
• NEBOSH Certificate (or equivalent) as a minimum
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Proven ability to influence positive behavioural change on site
• Confident, proactive, and visible safety leader with a strong site presence
