Shirley Parsons Professional Services Limited is recruiting a Health & Safety Manager for a flagship project in North London on behalf of a leading main contractor. You will lead site safety, drive positive safety culture, and ensure compliance across day-to-day activities.

Candidates should have strong construction industry experience, NEBOSH Diploma/Certificate (or equivalent), and proven ability to influence safety practices with stakeholders across projects in London.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent required.
• Construction industry experience essential.
• Strong knowledge of UK health & safety legislation.

Responsibilities

Health & Safety Manager

Main Contractor | North London | £65,000 - £75,000 + Package

Shirley Parsons is partnering with a leading main contractor to recruit an experienced Health & Safety Manager to support the delivery of a major project in North London, while also contributing to a wider portfolio of projects across London.

The Role

As Health & Safety Manager, you will take the lead on all health and safety matters for a flagship project in North London, working closely with operational teams, subcontractors, and senior stakeholders to drive a positive safety culture and ensure compliance across site activities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and promote a proactive health & safety culture across project teams
• Conduct site inspections, audits, and safety reviews
• Provide professional advice and guidance to operational teams and management
• Support incident investigations and ensure lessons learned are communicated effectively
• Review RAMS and monitor site compliance with company and legislative requirements
• Build strong working relationships with clients, contractors, and project stakeholders
• Support wider business operations across London projects when required

Requirements

• Previous experience working as a Health & Safety Manager within the construction industry
• Construction and/or Civil Engineering experience is essential
• Strong knowledge of UK health & safety legislation and industry best practice
• NEBOSH Certificate (or equivalent) as a minimum
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Proven ability to influence positive behavioural change on site
• Confident, proactive, and visible safety leader with a strong site presence
