Job summary

SF Partners is seeking an experienced Health & Safety Manager to lead safety across its business and UK project sites. The role combines on-site inspections with office-based work and requires strong collaboration with Directors, Project Managers, site teams and subcontractors.

You will oversee RAMS reviews, risk assessments and safe systems of work while ensuring compliance with UK health and safety legislation. A NEBOSH Certificate and a full UK driving licence are essential.

Qualifications

• A NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent qualification is essential.
• Strong knowledge of UK health and safety legislation is required.
• A full UK driving licence is essential.
• Experience with CDM 2015 and ISO 45001 is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Carry out site inspections, audits and health and safety reviews.
• Review RAMS, risk assessments, safe systems of work and Construction Phase Plans.
• Advise project teams on safe working practices and UK health and safety requirements.
• Monitor subcontractor compliance and support supply chain checks.
• Investigate accidents and near misses and follow through on corrective actions.
• Deliver toolbox talks, briefings and training.
• Improve policies, procedures, reporting and record keeping.
• Support the implementation of ISO 45001 and maintain accreditations.

We are supporting a growing electrical and renewable energy contractor looking for an experienced Health & Safety Manager to lead safety across its business and UK project sites. The role is available on either a full–time or part–time basis.
Working closely with Directors, Project Managers, site teams and subcontractors, you will provide practical advice, strengthen existing processes and help build a positive safety culture. This is a varied role combining site visits with office–based work.

The role

• Carry out site inspections, audits and health and safety reviews.
• Review RAMS, risk assessments, safe systems of work and Construction Phase Plans.
• Advise project teams on safe working practices and UK health and safety requirements.
• Monitor subcontractor compliance and support supply chain checks.
• Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses, and follow through on corrective actions.
• Deliver toolbox talks, briefings and training.

About the Health & Safety Manager

You will have experience in a site–focused health and safety role within construction, engineering, electrical contracting, M&E or a related sector. You will be confident working independently, building relationships with project teams and challenging unsafe practices constructively.
A NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent qualification, good knowledge of UK health and safety legislation, and a full UK driving licence are essential. Experience with CDM 2015, ISO 45001 or renewable energy projects would be an advantage.
