Job summary

Fawkes & Reece Group on behalf of their client seeks an experienced Health, Safety & Environmental Manager to oversee site safety across demanding projects in the Southwest, often valued between £10M-£100M, spanning Bristol, Wiltshire and Somerset.

You will lead HSE compliance, promote best practice, conduct audits, drive ISO 45001/14001/9001 standards and work with planning and delivery teams to raise safety performance.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a similar HSE manager role on high-value schemes.
• Knowledge of ISO 45001/ ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 standards.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with legal standards and client expectations.
• Plan and deliver safe systems for high-risk activities.
• Conduct safety inspections and audits.
• Investigate incidents and near-misses and implement corrective actions.

Fawkes & Reece are currently supporting an industry leading Tier 1 Contractor with their search for an experienced Health, Safety & Environmental Manager to join their project team based in the Southwest. This Health, Safety & Environmental Manager will work across a variety of sectors, typically on projects valuing between £10M - £100M across Bristol, Wiltshire & Somerset.

About the role of Health. Safety & Environmental Manager

As Health, Safety & Environmental Manager you will be responsible for overseeing the safety of project teams across the site, promoting best practice and driving H&S legislation throughout whilst pushing for continuous improvement surrounding HSE.

Responsibilities for the Health, Safety & Environmental Manager

• Responsible for ensuring compliance with legal standards, Client expectations company standards.
• Support the planning & delivery team with high-risk activities.
• Regularly carry out safety inspections & audits
• Appropriately support and advise any incidents, accidents or near misses
• Proactively promote and engage the team with HSE awareness & behavioural improvement

Requirements for Health, Safety & Environmental Manager

• Previous experience in a similar role working on similar value schemes would be advantages, for this opportunity we would consider a HSE Advisor looking to step up.
