Job summary

Cameo Consultancy (Recruitment) Limited, based in Banbury, seeks an experienced Health & Safety Manager to own H&S across a multi-site business. You will help maintain a safe working environment and ensure compliance with UK legislation.

This role requires NEBOSH General Certificate, strong communication, site audits, incident investigations, training delivery and UK site travel. Full-time or part-time hours are considered, with a range of benefits.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent qualification
• Good knowledge of UK health and safety legislation and regulations
• Experience undertaking risk assessments, audits and investigations
• Strong communication skills with ability to advise, influence and train
• Excellent organisation, attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
• Full UK driving licence for travel to sites across the UK

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain health and safety policies, procedures and risk assessments
• Carry out site inspections and audits across multiple sites
• Ensure corrective actions are followed through
• Lead accident and incident investigations and identify root causes
• Deliver health and safety training to staff
• Advise managers on legislation, policies and best practice
• Monitor compliance via site visits and audits across the UK
• Maintain records of incidents, training and risk assessments
• Produce reports and identify trends for improvements
• Act as main contact for health and safety queries across the business
• Support development and delivery of safety initiatives

Job description

Are you an experienced Health & Safety professional who enjoys making a real difference? We're looking for a proactive and hands-on Health & Safety Manager to take ownership of health and safety across a multi-site business.

Based at the Banbury head office, you'll play a key role in maintaining a safe working environment, ensuring legislative compliance and building a positive culture where safety is everyone's responsibility.Full time and part time hours considered.

You'll be responsible for:

• Developing and maintaining health and safety policies, procedures and risk assessments, ensuring they are effective, up to date and aligned with current UK legislation
• Working closely with teams across the business, you'll carry out regular site inspections and audits, identify areas for improvement
• Ensuring any necessary corrective actions are followed through

• Leading accident and incident investigations, identify root causes and recommend preventative actions
• Delivering health and safety awareness training to new and existing team members
• Advising managers and colleagues on health and safety legislation, policies and best practice
• Monitoring compliance through site visits, audits and inspections across the UK
• Maintaining accurate records of incidents, training, risk assessments and other H&S documentation
• Producing reports, identify trends and recommending improvements
• Acting as the main point of contact for health and safety queries across the business
• Supporting the development and delivery of health and safety initiatives

You must be/have:

An experienced Health & Safety professional, confident working independently and building relationships at all levels of a business.

You'll ideally have:

• Previous experience in a similar Health & Safety role
• A NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent qualification
• Good knowledge of UK health and safety legislation and regulations
• Experience undertaking risk assessments, audits, inspections and accident investigations
• Strong communication skills, with the confidence to advise, influence and deliver training
• Excellent organisation, attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• The ability to manage your own workload, prioritise effectively and use your initiative
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365

A full, valid UK driving licence is essential, as the role involves regular travel to other sites across the UK.
