Job summary

Shirley Parsons Ltd. seeks a Health & Safety Manager - FM to lead the organisation's safety function from Greater Belfast. The role collaborates closely with the Facilities Manager, senior managers and operational leads to drive policy governance, risk management and incident learning in a diverse environment.

The candidate will oversee statutory compliance, emergency preparedness, audits and training, fostering a strong safety culture across office, residential, school and outdoor settings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent.
• NEBOSH Diploma preferred.
• Minimum 5 years in health and safety management, with facilities management knowledge.
• Ability to work in office, residential/school/day care, and outdoor environments.
• Commitment to highest Health and Safety standards and excellent communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead the organisation's health and safety function and collaborate with Facilities Manager and senior leaders.
• Lead Health and Safety governance, policy development and compliance.
• Oversee risk management, incident investigation and learning.
• Ensure statutory and external compliance and emergency preparedness.
• Drive audit, monitoring, training and safety culture improvements.
• Coordinate cross-functional collaboration and continuous improvement.

• The Health and Safety Manager is responsible for leading the organisation's health and safety function, andforms part of the organisation's management function and works closely with the Facilities Manager, senior managers and operational leads.

• Commitment to highest standards in Health and Safety.
• Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills

Additional Requirements:

• Current driving licence and access to a car for business use.
• Available to work occasional evenings and weekends (on call rota).
• Valid work permit.
• Access NI check.
