Altrad is seeking an experienced Health and Safety Manager to lead safety across a major UK infrastructure project. You will promote a positive safety culture, advise project teams and contractors, and ensure compliance with CDM and current legislation throughout the lifecycle.

You will develop, review and maintain H&S procedures, conduct audits and inspections, lead toolbox talks, and drive continuous improvement with stakeholders to achieve best practice on site.

Qualifications

• Significant experience managing health and safety on complex infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of UK health and safety legislation, CDM Regulations.
• Experience auditing, inspecting and investigating incidents.
• Ability to develop and implement health and safety management systems.

Responsabilités

• Lead and promote a positive health and safety culture across the major infrastructure project.
• Provide health and safety advice to project teams and stakeholders.
• Develop, review and maintain health and safety procedures and documentation.
• Review contractor risk assessments, method statements and submissions.
• Support hazard identification, risk assessments and control measures.
• Deliver health and safety training and toolbox talks.
• Conduct site inspections, audits and compliance reviews.
• Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses with root-cause analysis.
• Produce health and safety reports and maintain records.
• Collaborate with project teams, contractors and stakeholders to promote best practice.
• Act as primary contact for health and safety audits and compliance.
