Job summary

IWFM is seeking an experienced Health, Safety & Facilities Manager to join our manufacturing site in Leicestershire on a permanent basis. You will own health, safety and facilities compliance across the site, leading audits, risk assessments and contractor RAMS reviews.

The role requires IOSH General Certificate, strong H&S knowledge and facilities/maintenance management experience. Day shifts, 8:00am–4:30pm, Monday to Friday, with a competitive salary and real ownership of safety and site

Qualifications

• Experience as Health, Safety & Facilities Manager in warehouse/manufacturing.
• IOSH General Certificate is required.
• NEBOSH qualification advantageous or strong practical experience.
• Facilities/maintenance management experience desirable.
• Strong administrative and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain health and safety policies and procedures.
• Conduct risk assessments for employees, workstations and job roles.
• Lead site audits and inspections to identify and mitigate risk.
• Investigate accidents and near-misses and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with fire safety, hazardous material handling and machinery safeguarding.
• Deliver health and safety inductions and ongoing staff training.
• Oversee facilities maintenance including fire alarms, HVAC and electrical systems.
• Manage external contractors with RAMS reviewed before work begins.
• Maintain records of risk assessments, inspections and incident reports.
• Monitor legislative changes and update policies accordingly.
