Job summary

Morgan Hunt is looking for a Health, Safety & Facilities Assistant to support the Health, Safety & Facilities Manager across the organisation in Birmingham.

The role covers audits, compliance, budgeting support and coordination with contractors, with training provided in health & safety and Lean systems. Start date as soon as possible with interviews held quickly for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Experience in Health & Safety and/or Facilities Management.
• Knowledge of health & safety legislation and best practice.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good IT and Microsoft Office skills.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• The ability to work independently and use initiative.
• A proactive, reliable and positive approach.
• GCSE Maths and English Grade C or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Carry out regular health & safety, security and facilities audits.
• Complete fire alarm, fire door, fire extinguisher and emergency lighting checks.
• Monitor PPE, first aid equipment, safety stock and signage.
• Maintain accurate compliance records and assist with reports.
• Support ordering of PPE, cleaning and facilities supplies.
• Monitor facilities work orders and liaise with contractors and suppliers.
• Assist with basic maintenance, workplace organisation and storage systems.
• Process invoices, purchase orders and contractor costs.
• Support budget monitoring and general administration.
• Attend meetings and contribute to maintaining a safe and well-managed working environment.
