Job summary

Fawkes & Reece is seeking an experienced Health, Safety & Environmental Manager to lead HSE across multiple projects in the Bristol area. You will promote best practice, ensure compliance with standards and drive continuous improvement on site.

You will oversee safety for project teams, conduct inspections and audits, and support the delivery team with high‑risk activities while championing HSE awareness and behavioural safety.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar role; HSE Advisor ready to step up.
• Knowledge and understanding of ISO 45001/ISO 14001 and ISO 9001.

Health, Safety & Environmental Manager Fawkes & Reece are currently supporting an industry leading Tier 1 Contractor with their search for an experienced Health, Safety & Environmental Manager to join their project team based in the Southwest.

This Health, Safety & Environmental Manager will work across a variety of projects, typically valuing between £10M - £100M across Bristol, Wiltshire & Somerset.

About the role of Health, Safety & Environmental Manager As Health, Safety & Environmental Manager you will be responsible for overseeing the safety of project teams across the site, promoting best practice and driving H&S legislation throughout whilst pushing for continuous improvement surrounding HSE. Responsibilities for Health, Safety & Environmental Manager Responsible for ensuring compliance with legal standards, client expectations company standards.

Support the planning & delivery team with high-risk activities.

Regularly carry out safety inspections & audits Appropriately support and advise any incidents, accidents or near misses Proactively promote and engage the team with HSE awareness & behavioural improvement.

Requirements for Health, Safety & Environmental Manager Previous experience in a similar role working on similar value schemes would be advantages, for this opportunity we would consider a HSE Advisor looking to step up.

Knowledge & understanding of ISO 45001/ ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 Relevant qualifications including NEBOSH & IOSH.
