Job summary

Fawkes & Reece Group in the Southwest is seeking an experienced Health, Safety & Environmental Manager to join a project team handling diverse schemes across Bristol, Wiltshire and Somerset.

You will ensure compliance with legal standards, support the planning and delivery teams on high-risk activities, and carry out safety inspections and audits. The role focuses on incident response and continuous HSE improvement across projects.

About the role of Health, Safety & Environmental Manager

Fawkes & Reece are currently supporting an industry leading Tier 1 Contractor with their search for an experienced Health, Safety & Environmental Manager to join their project team based in the Southwest. This Health, Safety & Environmental Manager will work across a variety of projects, typically valuing between £10M - £100M across Bristol, Wiltshire & Somerset.

Responsibilities for Health, Safety & Environmental Manager

• Responsible for ensuring compliance with legal standards, client expectations company standards.
• Support the planning & delivery team with high-risk activities.
• Regularly carry out safety inspections & audits
• Appropriately support and advise any incidents, accidents or near misses
• Proactively promote and engage the team with HSE awareness & behavioural improvement

Requirements for Health, Safety & Environmental Manager

• Previous experience in a similar role working on similar value schemes would be advantages, for this opportunity we would consider a HSE Advisor looking to step up.
• Knowledge & understanding of ISO 45001/ ISO 14001 and ISO 9001
