Job summary

Mars is seeking a proactive HSE Technician to support Health, Safety and Environmental standards across site operations in Milton Keynes. You will work with leaders and Associates to promote a positive safety culture and maintain compliance with HSE management systems.

Responsibilities

• Promote and embed a positive safety culture across site.
• Maintain HSE systems, documentation, compliance records and improvement plans.
• Assist with risk assessments, audits, inspections and incident investigations.
• Evaluate and improve safety management systems (ISO 45001, MSE Safety Pillar) and deliver continuous improvement actions to address any gaps.
• Develop, facilitate or deliver safety training to produce acceptable safety competencies for key hazard groups.

Job Description

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented HSE Technician to support the delivery of Health, Safety and Environmental standards across site operations. This role will work closely with leaders and Associates to promote a positive safety culture, maintain compliance with HSE management systems, support risk and incident management activities, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance site safety, environmental performance and operational compliance.

What are we looking for?

Desirables

• Experience working with ISO45001 and ISO14001 standards.


• Previous experience in a manufacturing, FMCG or industrial environment.


• Knowledge of incident investigation and risk assessment processes.

What will be your key responsibilities?

• Support the promotion and embedding of a positive safety culture across site.


• Maintain HSE systems, documentation, compliance records and improvement plans.


• Assist with risk assessments, audits, inspections and incident investigations.


• Evaluates and maintains the effectiveness of safety management systems (ISO 45001, MSE Safety Pillar), site procedures, processes, programs and behaviours (through audit and other means), and delivers continuous improvement actions to address any gaps.


• Develops, facilitates or delivers safety training to produce acceptable safety competencies for our key hazard and impact groups.
