Job Description:

HSE Recruitment is seeking a Health, Safety and Environmental Advisor (HSE) for a company based in Telford.

This is a high-risk manufacturing site with over 400 employees working across 3 shifts. The environment is busy with a strong Health & Safety culture. You will work alongside the HSE Manager to develop and implement the H&S strategy, providing safety leadership and promoting behavioural safety development. The role is hands-on, requiring adaptability and flexibility to meet the site’s needs.

Responsibilities include:

• Implementing the H&S risk management program across the site, addressing hazards and controls.
• Maintaining compliance with ISO45001 Safety Management Systems.
• Reducing accidents through risk mitigation programs.
• Promoting a 'safety first' culture by promptly addressing hazards and unsafe conditions.
• Tracking KPIs related to safety incidents, near misses, and corrective actions.
• Representing the department in monthly meetings.
• Conducting monthly safety and ergonomic audits, reporting findings, and suggesting improvements.

Requirements:

• Manufacturing experience in a fast-paced environment preferred.
• NEBOSH Certificate or higher.
• Experience with ISO systems and audits is advantageous.

Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 depending on experience. This is a site-based role with no hybrid working. Working hours are 8:30 am - 5:00 pm Monday to Thursday and 8:30 am - 2:00 pm on Friday.
