Job Description:
We have a fantastic permanent, full-time position for a Health & Safety Coordinator.
Purpose of the Role:
To provide support to the Health, Safety & Sustainability department by carrying out administration support and other duties as required and where necessary.
Key responsibilities:
- Work as an integral member of the health & safety team and be prepared to offer support and help to all colleagues.
- Assist the Deputy Health and Safety Manager with administration duties, including:
- Input departmental KPIs for weekly meetings and produce KPI reports.
- Review and communicate Site Action Plans and near misses weekly.
- Assist with administration of site accidents and incidents.
- Complete the Freiberger Report for absence and lost time.
- Produce posters and update site noticeboards.
- Review and update First Aider posters.
- Assist with departmental site inspections and their administration.
- Assist with inspections of First Aid Rooms, Steps & Stairs, lighting, Fire Evacuation tests, and audits of Harness, Spill Kit, Ladder inspections.
- Assist with organizing Occupational Health assessments and updating risk assessments.
- Support projects related to new buildings, machinery, and safety initiatives.
- Raise purchase orders and manage procurement of equipment.
- Support Health & Safety strategic projects and sustainability administration, including processing invoices and maintaining energy/water data.
- Participate in audits, report preparations, and stakeholder communications.
- Attend meetings as necessary and adhere to company policies on Health & Safety and Hygiene & Food Safety.
- Perform any other reasonable tasks to support the department.
Skills and Experience required:
- Proficiency in Excel and Word.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly numerate with excellent telephone manners.
- Experience in health & safety administration roles.
- Knowledge of health & safety legislation and requirements.
