Job Description:

We are currently recruiting for a Health & Safety Coordinator, to join our team in Wolverhampton. This post reports to the Quality director and is in charge of coordinating health and safety across the site. This includes preparing daily reports, ensuring that all Health & Safety processes are implemented in accordance with the company's policies, as well as coordinating and administering safety training activities to ensure compliance with UK HSE regulations.

This role will be working the below shift pattern:

Monday to Thursday – 07:00 am to 15:30 pm
Fridays – 07:00 am to 14:30 pm

About The Role
How will you contribute:

  • Monitor, revise, and implement ongoing updates in safety regulations, laws or reporting requirements.
  • Provide technical safety and health support and information to all employees to ensure employees are operating in a safe, orderly, and clean environment.
  • Coordinate and Analyse risk assessments, near miss, and accident data to present to the senior management team.
  • Lead health and safety meetings, present data, record actions, and maintain the progress on the actions.
  • Identify, design and develop company health and safety management systems, training
  • programs, and procedures as well as enforcing regulatory regulations and company policies.
  • Conduct Health and Safety Induction training for employees, agency employees,
  • contractors, visitors.
  • Conduct internal audits, workplace inspections, Work with auditors and vendors to answer
  • findings and complaints in a timely, efficient and professional manner.
  • Inspect facilities, machinery, and safety equipment to identify and correct potential hazards,
  • and toensure safety and environmental regulation compliance.
  • Review plans and specifications for development of new machinery, equipment, or
  • processes to determinewhether all safety requirements have been met.

What will you Bring.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

  • NEBOSH General certificate essential/ IEMA certified is advantageous but not essential
  • 2 years experience within a similar role is beneficial
  • Health and safety experience or exposure to health and safety in a fast paced warehouse/manufacturing environment.
  • Current First Aid/CPR First Responder Training is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Proficient in all Microsoft application and IT Literate
