The difference you will make as an Health & Safety Coordinator
Riverside Property Services manages the repairs and maintenance service to over 24,000 properties across London, the Southeast and Home Counties.
Riverside Property Services undertakes repairs, servicing, voids and planned maintenance work to our customers’ homes via our in-house team and a variety of contractors and service providers who are employed on our behalf. This includes repairs to general needs, leasehold, market rent and our specialist Care and Support schemes. Our work also includes statutory and regulatory compliance checks.
The QHSE Co-Ordinator will work closely with the QHSE team and other Senior Business Managers to co-ordinate all QHSE processes and drive continual improvement. You will work collaboratively across all business streams and report on business compliance with all QHSE related policies and procedures.
About You
We are looking for someone who has:
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Occupational Health and Safety or working towards
- Proven attention to detail.
- Proven organisation skills and experience.
- Excellent communication skills.

Role Profile
- Maintain and report Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in line with targets, including incident, near miss, training, face fit testing, risk assessment compliance, asbestos compliance and lone worker safety device usage.
- Monitor, review and critically analyse QHSE performance information to ensure the information is accurate and achieve business targets and objectives.
- Collate data, update reports and produce management reports.
- Monitor audit programmes, and coordinate the action tracking arising from audits, inspections, investigations etc.
- Manage the risk assessment and procedure register, ensuring reviews are undertaken and appropriate consultation completed prior to publication.
- Manage the day to day running and monitoring of the team’s channels and mailbox – this may include managing access, first point of contact for any enquires, run reports.
- Collating monthly QHSE communications in readiness to communicate to the business – This may include KPI reports, changes to Safe Systems of Work, safety alerts etc
- Manage the QHSE team SharePoint site – set up file structure and monitor team members file documents correctly.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and collaborate with the QSHE team to develop and apply a long-term plan to enhance Company QSHE performance.
- Support the development of the Business’ Management System.
- Assists in the implementing and maintaining of the certification of ISO 9001, ISO14001, ISO45001 and PAS99
- Manage Safe Contractor and onboarding processes for new contractors.

- This role will be predominantly on site with some flexibility for home working.
- The role will be exposed to sensitive information; therefore, the role holder is expected to maintain levels of confidentiality at all times.
- To fulfil the requirements of this role, you will be required to work flexibly during the hours ofoperation.

- Post holder will be required to participate in out of hours on call escalation rota on a regular basis.

Essential
Knowledge, Skills and Experience

- Understanding of core health, safety and quality principles and regulations.
- Working knowledge and understanding of construction sites and responsive repair contracts.

Desirable
- Internal Auditor (9001/14001/45001.
- IEMA Environmental Management Certificate.
- Experience with the maintenance of integrated management systems.
- Experience in administration of QA (Quality Assurance) systems.
- Experience in the construction industry/responsive repairs.
