Job Description

DO & CO is seeking a highly motivated and energetic Health & Safety Coordinator to drive health and safety standards by providing advice, support, and guidance.

The Health and Safety Coordinator will ensure that DO & CO complies with all applicable health and safety regulations and will support employees and managers in maintaining a safe workplace.

The role involves investigating accidents or near misses to identify root causes and recommending preventive measures, including changes to equipment, procedures, or processes.

Responsibilities
  1. Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  2. Develop and implement safety policies and procedures.
  3. Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, determining root causes and recommending corrective actions.
  4. Provide safety training on hazard identification, emergency response, and safe work practices.
  5. Prepare safety performance reports and present findings to management.
  6. Collaborate with management on safety improvement initiatives.
  7. Conduct risk assessments and assist in developing risk mitigation strategies.
  8. Maintain accurate records of inspections, incidents, and training sessions.

Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a Safety Coordinator or similar role.
  • Deep knowledge of safety regulations and industry best practices.
  • Strong analytical skills, including root cause analysis.
  • Experience with airside operations is preferable but not mandatory.
  • Excellent report writing and attention to detail.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational skills with task prioritization abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays, as operations run 7 days a week.
