Job Description

DO & CO is looking for a highly motivated and energetic Health & Safety Coordinator who will drive health and safety standards through the provision of advice, support, and guidance.

The Health and Safety Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring that DO & CO adheres to all applicable health and safety regulations, while also providing support to employees and managers in maintaining a safe workplace.

The coordinator will investigate accidents or near misses to identify root causes and make recommendations to prevent recurrence, including suggestions for changes to equipment, procedures, or processes.

• Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify hazards and ensure regulatory compliance
• Develop and implement safety policies and procedures
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, determining root causes and recommending corrective actions
• Provide safety training on hazard identification, emergency response, and safe work practices
• Prepare safety performance reports and present findings to management
• Collaborate with management on safety improvement initiatives
• Conduct risk assessments and assist in developing mitigation strategies
• Maintain records of inspections, incidents, and training sessions

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Safety Coordinator or similar role
• Deep knowledge of safety regulations and industry best practices
• Strong analytical skills for root cause analysis
• Experience in airside operations is a plus but not necessary
• Excellent report writing and attention to detail
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong organizational skills with task prioritization
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as the operation runs 7 days a week
