Job summary

Formula E is partnering with Shirley Parsons to recruit an experienced Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Manager. The role is London-based with hybrid working and international travel across races, leading HSE delivery for the championship.

You will plan and deliver HSE for events, coordinate with directors and contractors, and ensure compliance with high safety standards while supporting ISO management systems.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Health & Safety qualification (NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent).
• Membership of IOSH, IIRSM, IEMA or similar body.
• Experience managing health, safety and/or environmental programmes, ideally in events, construction, sport or live environments.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication and organisational skills.
• Practical, solutions-focused approach.
• Ability to travel internationally for extended periods during racing season.

Responsibilities

• Leading HSE delivery for allocated international race events.
• Conducting risk assessments and reviewing contractor RAMS.
• Developing safety, fire and evacuation plans.
• Monitoring onsite HSE compliance and managing incident investigations.
• Supporting ISO14001, ISO45001 and ISO20121 management systems.
• Delivering HSE training and guidance across the business.
• Supporting budgeting, procurement and post-event reporting.

The Role

As HSE Manager, you will lead Health, Safety and Environmental planning and delivery for assigned Formula E races across the international championship calendar. Working closely with Event Directors, contractors, local consultants and internal stakeholders, you will ensure events are delivered safely, effectively and in line with Formula E's high operational standards.

Key responsibilities include:
