Job summary

Chemify Limited is seeking a Health & Safety Advisor to drive the development of safety systems across our lab, manufacturing and engineering environments. You will support ISO implementations, risk assessments, incident investigations and employee safety training while contributing to a strong safety culture.

The role offers a clear pathway to Health & Safety Manager via hands-on exposure to compliance, governance and strategic projects within a rapidly growing chemical manufacturing business.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent required.
• Experience in lab/manufacturing/industrial environments.
• Strong knowledge of UK health and safety legislation.

Responsibilities

• Support compliance with UK health and safety legislation and associated regulations.
• Assist in maintaining ISO 45001 and ISO 9001 management systems.
• Participate in internal audits, inspections and compliance reviews.
• Support regulatory inspections and customer audits.
• Assist with risk assessments, COSHH assessments and DSEAR assessments.
• Support permit-to-work activities and contractor management.
• Participate in incident investigations and Root Cause Analysis.
• Track corrective and preventative actions through to completion.
• Deliver health and safety inductions and awareness training.
• Support development of toolbox talks, safety campaigns and communications.
• Promote employee engagement in health and safety initiatives.
• Monitor KPI reporting and trend analysis.
• Assist with emergency preparedness exercises and response planning.
• Identify opportunities to improve safety performance and compliance.
