Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc is seeking a Health & Safety Advisor for the Brockworth site on a full-time basis. The role focuses on championing safety standards, building a proactive safety culture and supporting teams across a regulated environment.

The position requires NEBOSH General Certificate or NVQ Level 3 in Health & Safety with CPD, strong knowledge of legislation, excellent communication, and experience in construction/infrastructure or defence environments.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH General Certificate or NVQ Level 3 in Health & Safety (plus evidence of ongoing CPD)
• Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation and promoting a safety-first culture
• Excellent communication skills with ability to build trusted relationships at all levels
• Experience within construction, infrastructure or defence environments (ideal)
• Confidence in auditing, risk assessment, incident investigation and driving continuous improvement

Responsibilities

• Developing, leading and maintaining Management Plans, Risk Assessments and Safe Systems of Work (SSOW)
• Delivering and recording colleague safety training while identifying and escalating gaps
• Inputting, analysing and reporting Health, Safety and Environment data
• Chairing and presenting at HSE meetings with tracked actions
• Managing contractors end-to-end—from permit checks to exit requirements
