Job summary

Aldwych Consulting is seeking a proactive Health & Safety Advisor to join our established civil engineering contractor delivering major infrastructure projects across the UK. This permanent, full-time role offers long-term career progression, professional development and exposure to a variety of challenging schemes.

You will provide practical HSE guidance to project teams, help implement RAMS and Construction Phase Plans, and deliver inductions and toolbox talks.

Qualifications

• Minimum NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate.
• IOSH membership, ideally Technical or Certified level, with ambitions to progress towards Chartered status.
• Confident communicator, comfortable engaging with site operatives, management teams, subcontractors and clients.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical health, safety and environmental advice and support to project teams.
• Assist with the preparation, implementation and ongoing review of Construction Phase Plans and RAMS.
• Deliver site inductions, toolbox talks and safety briefings to employees, subcontractors and visitors.
• Conduct regular site inspections, audits and compliance reviews, identifying areas for improvement.
• Support incident reporting, investigations and corrective actions.
• Promote a positive health and safety culture across site teams.
• Monitor compliance with HSE procedures and legislation.
• Prepare HSE reports and maintain safety records.
• Attend project meetings and liaise with clients and subcontractors on HSE matters.
