Job summary

ASC Connections is seeking a Health & Safety Advisor in the West Midlands region. The role offers a salary circa £40,000 with flexible hours and a Friday midday finish.

The successful candidate will maintain HSE policies, conduct audits and risk assessments, investigate incidents and support environmental reporting as the team grows. Responsibilities

A Health & Safety Advisor job opportunity has just become available within a business that has supplied revolutionary technology to multiple industries for over 40 years. During a significant period of growth, this award–winning organisation is expanding its teams, including additional headcount within the Health, Safety & Environmental function. The successful advisor will earn a salary circa 40,000+ alongside flexible working hours and a midday finish on Fridays. There is also a clear opportunity for the successful individual to develop and progress into a Health & Safety Manager position as the business continues to grow.

Health & Safety Advisor duties include –

• Maintain HSE policies in line with UK legislation and company standards.
• Conduct audits, inspections and risk assessments across site operations.
• Investigate incidents, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
• Track environmental performance and produce reports for senior management.
• Manage emergency response plans and coordinate drills.

Health & Safety Advisor desirable skills and experience –

• Experience in a similar role such as HSE Advisor, Health & Safety Advisor or Health & Safety Officer.
• Strong environmental exposure within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Systems experience including ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and OHSAS 18001.
• Relevant qualifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH or equivalent.
