Health & Safety Advisor Role

Full-time permanent position, site-based, 5 days a week. Construction experience is crucial.

As the Health and Safety Adviser, your responsibilities will include:

  1. Carrying out risk assessments and considering how risks could be reduced.
  2. Outlining safe operational procedures that identify and address all relevant hazards.
  3. Conducting regular site inspections to ensure policies and procedures are properly implemented.
  4. Ensuring working practices are safe and compliant with legislation.
  5. Preparing health and safety strategies and developing internal policies.
  6. Leading in-house training sessions with managers and employees about health and safety issues and risks.
  7. Maintaining records of inspection findings and producing reports with suggested improvements.
  8. Recording incidents and accidents, producing statistics for managers.
  9. Producing management reports, newsletters, and bulletins.
  10. Ensuring equipment is installed safely.
  11. Managing and organizing the safe disposal of hazardous substances, e.g., asbestos.
