About Kilnbridge

Kilnbridge is the UK’s leading structures specialist, delivering some of the country’s most complex and iconic engineering, construction and infrastructure projects. Our expertise spans the full lifecycle of a structure - design, build, adapt, repair and protect - delivered by four specialist operational businesses that combine seamlessly as One Kilnbridge to meet any project’s needs.

We are purpose led, focused on building a sustainable and resilient future for the UK, with a reputation for technical excellence, safety and quality built over 35 years. As an employee-owned business, our people are at the heart of everything we do - empowered to contribute, innovate and help shape our continued success.

If you want to develop your expertise, contribute to technically challenging projects and be part of a collaborative team, we'd love to hear from you.

The Role

Health & Safety is more than compliance at Kilnbridge – it's about creating a culture where people thrive, risks are managed proactively, and everyone goes home safe every day.

We're looking for an experienced and engaging Health & Safety Advisor to play a key role in supporting some of the UK's most complex and high-profile engineering, construction and infrastructure projects. This is a highly visible role where you'll work closely with project teams, operational leaders and stakeholders across the business, providing expert advice, driving best practice and helping to embed a strong and positive safety culture throughout our operations.

You'll be at the forefront of promoting health, safety and wellbeing, supporting our project teams to deliver outstanding performance while ensuring compliance with legislative, client and company requirements. From conducting audits and inspections to investigating incidents and delivering engaging safety initiatives, you'll have the opportunity to make a genuine impact on the safety and success of our projects.

Working closely with the HSEQ Director and operational management teams, you'll act as a trusted advisor, championing continuous improvement and helping drive the highest standards of health, safety and environmental performance across the business.

If you're passionate about influencing positive behaviours, building strong relationships and creating safer workplaces, we'd love to hear from you.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Providing expert health, safety and environmental guidance across a diverse portfolio of construction and infrastructure projects.
  • Supporting project teams to achieve exceptional health, safety and environmental performance while meeting legislative, client and company requirements.
  • Conducting audits, inspections and compliance reviews, identifying opportunities to continuously improve standards and performance.
  • Advising on risk assessments, method statements, safe systems of work and health and safety planning activities.
  • Building strong relationships with project teams, clients, contractors and other key stakeholders to support the successful delivery of projects.
  • Monitoring contractor health, safety and environmental performance and ensuring appropriate controls are in place.
  • Supporting accident and incident investigations, identifying root causes and helping implement effective corrective actions.
  • Delivering training, toolbox talks, wellbeing initiatives and awareness campaigns that promote positive behavioural change and enhance safety culture.
  • Monitoring project health, safety and environmental plans and supporting continuous improvement across all stages of project delivery.
  • Providing regular reports, insights and recommendations to the HSEQ Director and project leadership teams.
  • Championing best practice and promoting Kilnbridge's commitment to safety, wellbeing and operational excellence.
What We're Looking For
  • A recognised Health & Safety qualification such as NEBOSH, IOSH or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a Health & Safety Advisor or similar role within construction, engineering, infrastructure or a related sector.
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation, compliance requirements and industry best practice.
  • Experience undertaking audits, inspections, compliance reviews and monitoring contractor performance.
  • Experience supporting accident and incident investigations and implementing effective corrective actions.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the confidence to influence and challenge constructively at all levels.
  • The ability to build trusted relationships with project teams, clients, contractors and colleagues across the business.
  • Strong organisational and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational environment.
  • Experience delivering training, toolbox talks, awareness campaigns or initiatives that promote positive behavioural change.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and the ability to produce clear reports and analysis.
  • A proactive, practical and solutions-focused approach, with the confidence to stop unsafe activities and drive continuous improvement.
  • Most importantly, you'll share our values of Responsibility, Integrity, Teamwork and Excellence and be committed to helping us create safe, healthy and high-performing workplaces across the business.
