Summary Of Role
Reporting to the Quality Director, you will play a pivotal role in delivering audits, inspections, and investigations (where needed). You will also contribute to the development of Hall & Kay's procedures and processes to ensure their continued effectiveness.
What You Will Be Doing
- Undertake Health and Safety Compliance Audits and inspections at company and customer premises.
- Support Hall & Kay Fire Services' continued compliance with all relevant internal processes, procedures, schemes, and regulatory standards.
- Support and contribute to the development of an effective audit and inspection programme.
- Assist with incident, near miss, and customer complaint investigations following company processes.
- Support and contribute to maintaining, developing, and implementing Hall & Kay Fire Services' standard operating procedures.
- Liaise with managers, site, department, and divisional contacts to discuss findings and assist in corrective actions.
- Coordinate with client sites regarding inspections and meetings as required.
- Support management in investigating non-conformities/non-compliance issues, identifying root causes, and developing corrective actions.
- Liaise with third-party certification bodies and support third-party audits.
- Provide advice and support on implementing processes and procedures to ensure compliance with accreditation requirements.
What We Will Need From You
- Hold the NEBOSH National Certificate in Construction Health and Safety (essential).
- Experience in a similar role within the Fire Engineering or construction industry (highly desirable or essential).
- Experience handling H&S investigations (essential).
- Experience conducting H&S inspections in accordance with company processes (essential).
- Ability to produce accurate and timely written reports (essential).
- Effective communication skills with clients and colleagues at all levels (essential).
- Professional conduct and positive promotion of the company image (essential).
- Proactive problem-solving skills (essential).
- Ability to operate independently with minimal supervision (essential).
- Willingness to travel regularly across the UK to H&K sites (essential).

- Hours: 36.5 hours per week (Monday to Thursday 8:40-17:00, Friday 8:00-16:30).
