Job summary

Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in Gloucestershire is seeking a Health Records Supervisor (Band 3) to lead the health records team, supervise workload, and ensure records are available for patient care.

The role involves movement of heavy files and a shift pattern from 08:00 to 20:00 across sites, with a 08:30–16:30 Mon-Fri core window and weekend cover as required. NHS experience and TrakCare knowledge are desirable while contract is permanent with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Educated to GCE/GCSE standard English and Maths or equivalent.
• NVQ level 3 or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Carry out health record management duties to provide a full, confidential service.
• Assist in managing workload and rostering to ensure skill mix.
• Retrieve and provide case notes for planned and emergency admissions across the Trust.
• Access and work from record request lists in PAS TrakCare.
• Request records to be returned from off-site storage using external tracking systems.
• Assist in locating miss-filed notes and support scanning/document uploads.
