Job summary

BCL Legal is recruiting a Commercial Solicitor (Health) for its Newcastle office. The role sits in the Health Commercial team, advising NHS bodies, healthcare providers, and life sciences clients on commercial contracts, data protection, governance, and regulatory matters.

The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial contracts, technology matters or data protection, with NQ to 5 PQE. The firm offers flexible and hybrid working, a supportive culture, and clear career progression.

Qualifications

• Experience advising on commercial contracts and data protection.
• Healthcare sector experience is advantageous.
• Strong drafting, communication, and research skills.

Responsibilities

• Drafting and negotiating commercial contracts, framework agreements, and data protection documentation.
• Advising on joint ventures, alliances, and other collaborative structures.
• Supporting healthcare clients on regulatory and information-law matters.
• Developing and maintaining strong client relationships; supporting business development.
• Contributing to the firm’s profile through market engagement and CSR activities.
