A leading health-tech startup is seeking ambitious HCPC-registered dietitians to join their team as Health Coaches. This fully remote role involves guiding members on nutrition, exercise, and mindset changes to help combat obesity and improve health outcomes using digital tools. Ideal candidates will demonstrate strong organizational and critical thinking skills in a fast-paced environment.
We’re looking for ambitious, HCPC-registered dietitians to join our growing team of Health Coaches at one of the UK’s most exciting health-tech startups.
The ideal candidate is passionate about improving health and wellbeing, has strong critical thinking skills, is confident using digital tools, and comfortable working remotely.
The Company
Obesity has become a global epidemic. In the UK alone, we spend £9 billion a year on conditions like type 2 diabetes (that's 10% of the entire NHS budget). The most shocking part? Much of this is preventable through sustainable lifestyle and habit change.
Enter Second Nature
Second Nature exists to help people take control of their health. By combining behavioural science, technology, and a talented team, our mission is to eradicate chronic lifestyle diseases for good.
Our digital habit change programme, delivered via a mobile app, helps people improve their lifestyle, lose weight, and reduce their risk of conditions like type 2 diabetes. We’re proud to be one of the few consumer health brands also commissioned by the NHS to support people living with type 2 diabetes and those referred to national weight management services.
You can find out more about working with us here and here.
The Role
One of the core components of the Second Nature programme is the Health Coach, who supports and guides our members in making sustainable lifestyle and behaviour changes. Coaching is delivered digitally, both via written and verbal communication. This approach enables regular interaction, and allows coaches to support hundreds of members throughout their journey.
Our Health Coaches provide guidance across five key areas:
As part of our holistic approach, Health Coaches deliver the Second Nature programme to individuals living with obesity alongside co-existing conditions such as type 2 diabetes and/or hypertension.
We're now excited to be expanding our team and are looking to recruit two permanent Health Coaches (dietitians) to support both NHS-referred and consumer members across our Tier 2 and Medication Support Programmes. As the service evolves, there may also be opportunities to contribute to the development and delivery of future Tier 3 services.
In addition to direct coaching, Health Coaches play a key role in supporting wider business initiatives - including delivering webinars, engaging with members via calls, and contributing to service improvement projects.
This is a fully remote role, giving you the flexibility to work from home while supporting our members. You’ll need to be self-motivated, comfortable working independently, and confident communicating primarily through digital channels.
We’re looking for someone passionate about health and wellbeing, excited by the potential for technology to transform lives, and who thrives in a fast-paced, purpose-driven environment. You should be highly organised, proactive, and comfortable rolling up your sleeves to get stuff done.
