Job summary

CYGNET is seeking a confident Healthcare Support Worker for the acute ward at Cygnet Hospital Harrogate. You will work 38.5 hours per week on 11-hour shifts in a male-only service for adults.

Join a long-established mental health hospital with an MDT and a broad therapy program. You’ll provide physical and emotional support, contribute to a safe environment and engage in learning and development through our apprenticeship scheme.

Responsibilities

• Support both management and team members in the day-to-day running of the service.
• Ensure duties are allocated effectively and safely.
• Offer enhanced care with a flexible learning approach for all the people in our care.
• Provide guidance and encouragement through physical and emotional support.
• Learn about individuals’ specific needs and provide help in the most appropriate way.
• Assist with medical and welfare needs and report as required.

Be a part of it.We are looking for a confident Healthcare Support Worker with a passion for delivering outstanding care.You’ll be working 38.5 hours a week, (11-hour shifts) in an Acute ward with male service users over the age of 18 at Cygnet Hospital Harrogate.This is a long-established mental health hospital that provides an emergency admissions service across two acute wards. The service has a full Multidisciplinary team (MDT) including consultant psychiatrists, doctors, a therapy team including group and activities coordinators and nursing therapists. There are a range of therapies available and all service users can access a minimum of 25 hours’ therapy a week.
