Bryn Hesketh Ward is seeking a Health Care Support Worker to join a dementia assessment ward with links to the CMHT. The role involves delivering evidence-based, high-quality clinical care and supporting patients with their care plans.

Welsh/English speakers are welcome, and the position is fixed term/secondment until 13 February 2027. The successful candidate will work with the nursing team, undertake a range of duties, and may need to obtain permission from their current manager before

Competenze

• NVQ Level 3 or working towards level 3 within 18 months, with dementia care experience.
• Experience in health care, especially mental health care.
• Understanding of risk management and health and safety.
• Understanding of patient confidentiality.
• Ability to work within a team, with warmth and understanding.

An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Health Care Support Worker to join Bryn Hesketh Ward. It is a dementia assessment ward and has links to the CMHT.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will work as part of the nursing team delivering evidence based high quality clinical care that focuses on the direct need of the patient.

The post holder will assist registered nurses/practitioner in the provision of delegated care of patients. The post holder will endeavour to provide for the holistic needs of the individual, in conjunction with other disciplines within the health care environment.

The post holder will undertake a broad range of duties and will be expected to work independently and as part of the team, supervising patients and assisting them with future care plan.

• NVQ Level 3 Or working towards level 3 to be achieved within 18 months of appointment and with relevant experience in working with people with Dementia
