Job summary

BCUHB is seeking Health Care Support Workers to join Evington Ward at Wrexham Maelor Hospital. You will contribute to rehabilitation and elderly care within a team, delivering patient care under supervision of a Registered Nurse.

Applicants should have good communication skills and be flexible, with a patient-centred approach. Welsh language ability is desirable; applications in Welsh are welcomed alongside English.

Job Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for enthusiastic Health Care Support Workers to join Evington Ward at Wrexham Maelor Hospital.

Applicants must have an approachable manner necessary to deal with patients and their relatives and desirable experience of a hospital environment.

Main duties of the job

Applicants will work as part of a team of nurses on the ward and undertake patient fundamentals of nursing care tasks under the direct or indirect supervision of a Registered General Nurse responsible for the patient’s management.

You will need to be flexible and dynamic in your approach in delivering care to patients. The post holder needs to have good communication skills and be an effective team player.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
