Dorset HealthCare is looking for a Healthcare Support Worker to enhance the Community Vaccination Service, involved in immunizing school-aged children and supporting COVID vaccination efforts. This role offers 30 hours per week and requires collaboration within various healthcare settings, promoting vaccine education in a dynamic and supportive environment.
The newly integrated Community Vaccination Service is seeking a team-oriented and experienced Healthcare Support Worker (HCSW) to deliver the school-age vaccination programme alongside COVID vaccination efforts for housebound patients and care homes. Additionally, the role involves supporting the admin lead with delegated tasks.
Vaccinations are a safe and effective way to protect individuals and communities from vaccine-preventable diseases. Working within the Community Vaccination Service allows you to be part of a team that promotes the importance of vaccines and is passionate about protecting this age group, supporting the Integrated Vaccination Service across the Trust.
This vacancy offers 2 roles based at different locations: one for 30 hours TTO at Linden Unit and another for 30 hours TTO at Kings Park Hospital.
Note: Applications from candidates requiring current Skilled Worker sponsorship are ineligible for this position.

Employment requires an Enhanced DBS check, which the Trust will cover. Applicants subscribed to the DBS update service can present a valid DBS certificate instead of a new check.
