Job summary

Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board (BCUHB) in North Wales is looking for a District Nurse to join the Denbighshire locality. You will assist registered nurses to deliver community nursing care and support patients in their homes, working with families and carers.

You will carry out duties under the direction of a registered nurse, travel between patients’ homes across towns and rural areas, and contribute to the modernisation of the service.

Qualifications

• Welsh language desirable; English or Welsh speakers welcome.
• Willingness to travel between patients' homes in the Denbighshire area.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care to patients in their homes under supervision of a registered nurse.
• Carry out duties as documented in the nursing care plan.
• Travel between patients' homes across towns and rural areas to provide timely care.

Deliver patient care as documented in the nursing care plan. Carry out a wide range of duties under the direction of a registered nurse for the period of the shift.

Main duties of the job

An opportunity has occurred to join the highly motivated District Nursing Service in the Denbighshire locality. The role will involve the successful candidate supporting the district nursing team to care for those living in the community who require nursing care.

Applicants should be enthusiastic with an awareness of and committed to the modernisation of the service. They should be able to work well within a team and also alone.

You must be able to travel between patients homes both within towns and rural areas in a timely manner and Welsh speaking is desirable.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
