Under the supervision of a registered nurse, you will assist the Ward/Department team in providing the highest possible standard of care for patients. The post holder will undertake a range of tasks as delegated by a Registered Nurse, including Venepuncture & ECG, and recording patient observations for patients attending the Pre-Assessment Clinic. Responsibilities also include monitoring stock levels and supporting the nursing/admin team as required.
Follow Trust policies, procedures, and standard operating procedures. Promote effective communication within the multi-disciplinary team and take measures to overcome communication difficulties. Be familiar with Trust policy and procedures for reporting clinical incidents, including reporting incidents and near misses.
Provide support and assistance to new and junior staff members and student learners.
