Job description

Job Title: Healthcare Assistant in Operating Theatres

The Healthcare Assistant in Operating Theatres will work clinically as a key part of the specialty team. They will work under the direct supervision of registered practitioners and will be responsible for ensuring the provision of equipment and stock for the day-to-day running of theatre lists. The post holder will also perform the circulating role.

Responsibilities include:

1. Providing high-quality care and maintaining a safe environment for patients under supervision.
2. Supporting the Team Leader in ensuring the availability of physical resources necessary for delivering clinical care.
3. Adhering to all departmental policies, procedures, and guidelines.
4. Maintaining a professional appearance and demeanor.
5. Upholding the Trust’s values and behaviors, demonstrating leadership qualities to maintain public and colleague confidence.
6. Fostering professional and courteous relationships with staff, respecting equality and diversity.
7. Upholding patient privacy and dignity, respecting patient equality at all times.
