Our friendly two site surgery is seeking a Health Care Assistant/General Practice Assistant to join our expanding and well established Nursing team.
We are offering a full-time position, ideally working over 4 days.
We have a large team of clinical and non-clinical staff who are very friendly and welcoming. We pride ourselves on caring and supporting our staff and offer attendance bonuses, as well as social events throughout the year.
Main clinical duties will be phlebotomy,handling routine administration and clinical tasks on behalf of the GPs. The role willalso include basic wound care, urinalysis, blood pressure readings and ECGs. Experience in phlebotomy is a must, and whilst other skills are preferred, they are not mandatory, as training can be provided.
Our main surgery is located in the heart of the city centre alongside Corpus Christi College. Our branch surgery in is in a new purpose built healthcare centre located in the nearby village of Trumpington. This role will require staff to work across both of our sites with parking at both locations
The successful candidate will support the smooth running of clinics by handling routine administration and clinical tasks on behalf of the GPs. The candidate should ideally be an experienced phlebotomist with a minimum of 6 months experience. Clinical duties will also include basic wound care, urinalysis, blood pressure readings and ECGs. Although experience in these skills is preferred, but not mandatory, as training can be provided.
