The Learning Disability Service based at Eastfield Clinic is a secondary health service, supporting Adults who live with a Learning Disability and have additional health care needs, including physical and mental health needs, Behaviours that challenge, emotional trauma, sensory processing difficulties and/or communication needs
The Multi-Disciplinary Team is highly skilled, passionate, friendly and supportive and completely patient focused. We are based in Scarborough, but also work in a large geographical area of Whitby and Ryedale and therefore driving and use of a vehicle is essential for this role.
The successful candidate must have completed the Diploma in Health and Social Care Level 2 or equivalent. Candidates must also have Literacy and Numeracy level 2 or equivalent and must complete the Trust Healthcare Assistant competencies within their probationary period (first 6 months in role).
You must have the Right to Work in the UK in order to be successfully appointed to this role. Please note, this role does not meet the required eligibility criteria for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker visa and therefore the Trust is unable to offer sponsorship for this particular role.
The Learning Disability Service are looking to recruit a Band 3 Health Care Assistant to work within the Nursing Team and to deliver interventions to our service users within their home and day care providers under the direction and supervision of our Nursing Team.
We wish to recruit individuals who are flexible, enthusiastic and have a positive, compassionate and caring attitude towards our client group. The role will be varied and will include all aspects of care from implementing care plan delivery systems to promoting health, choice and client's independence.
