Job Summary
Workingunder the direct supervision of the Practice Nurse Team and strictly inaccordance with specific practice guidelines and protocols, the HealthcareAssistant will assist the practice clinical team in the provision anddelivery of prescribed programmes of patient care.
Primary Responsibilities
ThePractice Healthcare Assistant level 3 is qualified to deliver the followingservices to patients.
Secondary Responsibilities
Inaddition to the primary responsibilities, the Health Care Assistant may berequested to:
Partake in audits as directed by the audit lead.
There may be, on occasion, a requirement to carry outother tasks and ad hoc duties as instructed bythe lead nurse, practice manager or partners.

Induction Training
On arrival at thepractice, all personnel are to complete a practice induction programme. Receptionrecruitment and induction training is managed by the reception manager.
Learning and Development
Theeffective use of training and development is fundamental in ensuring that allstaff are equipped with the appropriate skills, knowledge, attitude, and competencesto perform their role. All staff will be required to partake and completemandatory training as well as participating in the practice trainingprogramme. Reception training is overseen by the reception manager anddelegated to the senior receptionists to organise into the staff rota. Staffwill also be permitted (subject to approval) to undertake external trainingcourses which will enhance their knowledge and skills, progress their careerand enable them to improve processes and service delivery.
Allstaff are to recognise the significance of collaborative working. Teamwork isessential in multidisciplinary environments. Effective communication is essential,and all staff must ensure they communicate in a manner which enables thesharing of information in an appropriate manner.
Professional Conduct
AtPinfold Medical Practice, staff are required to dress appropriately for theirrole. Reception staff will be provided with a uniform whilst clinical staffmust dress in accordance with their role.
