Job summary

Nuffield Health Guildford Hospital is seeking a Healthcare Assistant to support Outpatients on a part-time, ad-hoc basis with weekend work. You will have NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care, good IT literacy and excellent communication.

The role involves assisting in clinics across Orthopaedics, Gynaecology, Neurosurgery, and more; supporting procedures, dressings and wound care; ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and patient-focused care.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care.
• Experience in an acute hospital or care setting is preferred.
• Flexible approach with good teamwork and communication.

Responsibilities

• Assist colleagues in clinics across multiple specialities (e.g., Orthopaedics, Gynaecology, Neurosurgery).
• Support procedures and wound care (dressings, etc.).
• Help ensure day-to-day clinic operations run smoothly and provide patient-focused care.

As a Healthcare Assistant in Outpatients at our hospital, you'll bring relevant experience, a keen eye for detail and a flexible approach. You demonstrate patience, focus and excellent communication skills. A real team player, you have the diligence, IT literacy and passion for development and training to make a difference. You will be qualified with an NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care, with relevant experience in an acute hospital or care setting.

As a Healthcare Assistant in Outpatients, you will:

• Assist colleagues in Orthopaedics, Gynaecology, Neurosurgery, Plastics Surgery, ENT, Cardiology, GP Services, Psychiatry and Physiotherapy
• Enjoy more time to care for patients as individuals
• Manage a wide range of activities and changing priorities
• Make sure the day-to-day operations of our various clinics run smoothly
• Assist consultants and nurses with procedures, such as dressings and wound care
• Helping you feel good.
