Thesuccessful candidate should have experience in a similar role or be motivatedand keen to learn, together with excellent communication skills.
Training will be offered.
Experienceworking within Primary Care and SystmOne would be an advantage.
The post is for 16 hours per week Monday to Thursday. This will be 4 hours per day on a morning. Some additional hours for holiday cover may be required on occasion.
Therole consists of running your own clinic of patients as well as supporting theGPs and Practice Nurse.
Yourhours would include face to face appointments as well as administrative time tocomplete stock checks, undertake room checks and regular checks of theemergency trolley and GP bags.
You would be expected to work within yourcompetency and the role would consist of venepuncture, ECGs, hypertensionreviews, dressings, basic observations, urinalysis, NHS healthchecks,vaccinations including flu, B12, covid and RSV.
We are a dispensing practice of 2,600 patients with sites at both Cockfield and Staindrop. We are a small team working in a positive rural practice with a good work ethic and patient centred approach.
Job summary:
The Health Care Assistant will work as part of the clinical team carrying out a range of duties ensuring that the highest standard of care is afforded to patients at all times.
