Job summary

RecruitedUK is seeking a Trainee Healthcare Assessor in Pembrokeshire, with home-based and mobile work and travel across your region. The role includes full training to obtain an assessor qualification and, crucially, no weekend work.

You will carry out workplace assessments, coach learners to achieve qualifications on time, develop learning plans, and maintain records while building strong relationships with employers and safeguarding learners' welfare.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Level 3 NVQ/QCF Health & Social Care (Adults).
  • Experience in a health and social care setting.
  • Passion for developing and supporting others.
  • Excellent communication, organisation and time management.
  • Willingness to work towards Assessor Qualification (CAVA/TAQA).
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and learner welfare.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and support a caseload of learners across your region.

Location: SA31 Pembrokeshire (Home-based and mobile with travel)

Key Responsibilities:
  • Trained to manage and support a caseload of learners across your region.
  • Carry out workplace assessments and provide constructive feedback.
  • Coach and motivate learners to achieve their qualifications on time.
  • We will provide you with skills to develop individual learning plans and monitor learner progress.
  • Build strong relationships with employers to support learner success.
  • Maintain accurate learner records and ensure compliance with awarding body requirements.
  • Deliver an engaging learner experience while promoting equality, safeguarding and professional standards.

Essential Requirements:
  • Minimum Level 3 NVQ/QCF Health & Social Care (Adults)
  • Experience of working within a health and social care setting
  • Passion for developing and supporting others.
  • Excellent communication, organisation and time management skills.
  • IT literate with good administrative skills.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
  • Willingness to work towards a recognised Assessor Qualification (CAVA/TAQA) if not already qualified.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and learner welfare.
Desirable
  • Assessor qualification (CAVA, TAQA or equivalent).
  • Experience in an adult care home setting
  • Welsh language skills are an advantage.
