Job summary

FiND are seeking a Health and Social Care Apprenticeship Tutor to support learners working towards work-based qualifications. You will draw on industry expertise to coach, motivate and guide learners throughout their apprenticeship journey.

In this role you’ll manage a caseload, deliver engaging teaching sessions, conduct regular reviews with learners and employers, provide constructive feedback, and prepare learners for End Point Assessment while safeguarding and progression remain central.

Qualifications

  • Level 3 or 5 qualification in Health and Social care required.
  • Assessor qualification (TAQA, CAVA, A1, D32/33 or equivalent) or willingness to work towards.
  • Teaching qualification (AET, CET, PTTLS or equivalent) or willingness to work towards.
  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths (Grade A-C).
  • Experience in Health & Social care setting, supervisory or managerial level preferred.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding, Prevent and apprenticeship landscape.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging teaching and learning sessions using a variety of delivery methods.
  • Manage and support a caseload of learners, ensuring progress, retention and achievement.
  • Conduct regular reviews with learners and employers in line with ESFA requirements.
  • Provide constructive and impactful feedback to support learner development.
  • Prepare learners for End Point Assessment (EPA) ensuring portfolios are complete.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver engaging teaching and learning sessions using a variety of delivery methods
  • Manage and support a caseload of learners, ensuring progress, retention and achievement
  • Conduct regular reviews with learners and employers in line with ESFA and learner journey requirements
  • Provide constructive and impactful feedback to support learner development
  • Prepare learners for End Point Assessment (EPA) ensuring portfolios are complete and learners feel confident
  • Use digital learning resources and platforms to support off-the-job and
    workplace training
  • Identify and remove barriers to learning, supporting learners to stay on track
  • Promote progression opportunities for learners to continue developing their careers
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in line with internal processes and funding requirements
  • Promote and safeguard the welfare of children and young people
Requirements:
  • Level 3 or 5 qualification in Health and Social care
  • Assessor qualification (TAQA, CAVA, A1, D32/33 or equivalent) or willingness to work towards
  • Teaching qualification (AET, CET, PTTLS or equivalent) or willingness to work towards
  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths (Grade A-C)
  • Experience working within a Health & Social care setting (ideally at a supervisory or managerial level)
  • Ability to engage, motivate and influence learners from diverse backgrounds
  • Knowledge of safeguarding, Prevent and the apprenticeship landscape
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage deadlines and targets
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Access to a car and the ability to travel for learner observations, team meetings and 1:1s
