Based at Southport responsible for this site, Knowsley warehouse & Widnes.
Reporting to the Ops Director
Mon-Fri 0800 to 1630
£30k to 35k

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Continuous monitoring of industry regulatory standards and best practices to ensure compliance with applicable local/national laws and guidance.
2. Develop safety guidelines and related environmental, health and safety communications and educational information.
3. Review all near misses and incidents which occur along with assisting with events (near misses and incidents) investigation process and preventive/corrective actions.
4. Communicate and share the near misses and incidents on site as well as lessons learned and opportunities for improvements.
5. Coordinate on-site deficiencies and safety inspections.
6. Ensure inspections by regulatory agencies are coordinated and deficiencies are minimized and corrected.
7. Maintain all logs and documentation associated with permits and regulatory requirements.
8. Reporting of Site Metrics and EHS KPI's.
9. Maintain filing systems regarding EHS policy and programs.
10. Practice safe working techniques and reinforce the EHS policies, guidelines, and procedures as set out by the Company.
11. Provide advice and assist with the effective implementation of EHS Policies.
12. Provide guidance and direction in EHS programs to all staff to ensure a common and effective approach.
13. Support ISO certifications.
14. Deal with our waste, as part of the Environmental element of the role.
